Nanduti Lace Doily
Nanduti means "web." This clearly describes the way this uniquely beautiful lace is created. It is made by weaving a myriad of patterns with needle and thread over and under a set of threads which radiate from a central point. A piece of Nanduti lace almost always includes a palm leaf motif, along with wheels and decorative backgrouond stitches. This lace is typically used worked into native costumes.
